SORRY FOR THE DELAY

(Forever 21 kimono jacket, black tank, J Brand skinnies-plum, Messeca Coraline wedges)

To finish off the fall season *I know I’m a little late—I thought this picture would be perfect. I’m wearing my favorite plum Jbrands with a floral kimono. These pieces undeniably got me through the fall season and seemed to be a huge trend in many stores. I hope this colored jean craze continues through the New Year because I have my eye set on purchasing a few new pairs. I hope everyone has a happy, healthy New Year. Stay tuned for lots of new post in 2012!!

Flash Back

(Nasty Gal flower crop shirt, Citizens of Humanity flare jeans, Dolce Vita Jemma Ankle Boot)

One of my favorite time periods is the 70's. I definitely wish I lived back then. Every time I watch the movie Dazed and Confused (which I happen to see a lot because I have 3 good guy friends who are obsessed with it) it makes me want to live during that era even more. I’m obsessed with high-waisted  bell bottom flared pants, embroidered peasant blouses, hot pants and OBSESSED with crop tops. Also I love platform shoes, my closet is filled with them (I'm only 5 ft. so I like to try to come off as being taller than I am).  I enjoy incorporating the whole hippie sheek thing into my own style.  I tend to stumble across Vennessa Hudgens unique style, every once in a while, I adore her fashion sense.

CHENEL

I love this outfit, its comfy but cute at the same time.

Trick or Treat

(Solemio shirt, Nasty Gal jean shorts, Ash Jezebel Khaki shoe boot, key chain necklace)

Happy Halloween!! I know this picture has nothing to-do with Halloween but how could I not write about Halloween, on the day of. Right? This year I struggled figuring out what I wanted to be. It was my first Halloween on a college campus so the pressure was seriously on. Thursday night I decided to be a punk rocker Mickey Mouse (a Vogue issue from last year inspired me). I wore shiny liquid black leggings; a Free People cropped bustier, a sleeveless distressed jean jacket and of course Mickey Mouse ears. Friday night, I was supposed to be Pebbles from the Flintstones but, last minute, I decided to be a clown. I wore my Equipment striped button down, ripped shorts, and wore one red Dolce Vita boot, and one black Dolce Vita boot. Saturday night, I ended up not going out, I saw a movie with a friend :). My roommate was the cutest thing ever though, she decided to be a Twitter bird (the Twitter symbol) She wore a blue tutu, blue leotard, yellow high leg warmers and wrote her Twitter name on her back. Creative—don’t you agree? She looked adorable. Tonight is the last night for my week's Halloween escapades… I'm thinking about being Little Red Riding Hood. If I have any pictures from these nights- ill post em.

Must Haves

(Elizabeth & James Hand Crochet Sweater, Wink tiffany jacket, Equipment Daddy Laser Stripe Blouse, Norvella Royale Jimmy Jacket, Rory Beca Jacob Trapeze Blouse)

I saw these items and fell absolutely in love with each piece. The bright colors in the Elizabeth & James sweater caught my eye right away. Along with the bright colors used in the Equipment stripe and Rory Beca blouse. The past month i've been drawn to wearing livelier colors, it always lightens my mood.

Obsession

(Ashbury lacy top-black, vintage jean shorts, Dolce Vita Jemma Ankle boots, Urban coin necklace)

When I first came across these Dolce Vita red boots, I freaked and ordered them immediately. I had to have them! They are my obsession up-to-date; they definitely add that extra oomph to any outfit. I usually pair them with dark skinny J Brands and a cute blouse. I assure you, if you wear these you definitely will stand out. Since I have made this purchase there hasn’t been a time of me wearing them that I haven’t gotten at least one compliment. My favorite look when it comes to buying shoes is a platform front with a really tall heel. Lately I'VE been noticing a trend for shoes with a thicker heel, and I'm kinda loving it. A definite must-have. You can never have too many pairs of shoes..right?
